strange fascination

Ode has a strange fascination with this old star ornament

he's been dragging it everywhere with him

for three days

today the string broke

he wanders around the house/yard hanging it on stuff then spins it

then yells I did it!! wtheck

i noticed the other day

he became burdened with his weird assortment of items and laid them all out on the floor

an old light switch (with the wires removed), a rubber mary (from his nativity), a broken handheld tape recorder,

and a personal fan, which also doesnt work

he prefers these types of things to all of the "real" toys we have bought him

i just wonder what in his mind attracts him to such items

just yesterday found another assortment of 3 or 4 things in the car next to his seat..a shoelace, a weird action toy, a wedge, and an old cellphone
