THIS guy

He's grown an inch in the last couple months.
He drills us on math problems in the car
Bounces them off us.."100 plus 200 is three hundred right?"
"If it had eight groups of ten, that would be eighty, right?"
He asks me to make poems out of words he gives me..everything gets incorporated into his song about "chicken soup with rice!"
He's no longer into having his picture taken, and if it take it anyways, he closes his eyes/or sticks his tongue out
Everything has a winner, getting buckled into the car, getting shoes on, getting teeth brushed..he's out to win- i can only guess this comes from kindergarten, where everything is a race
He wants a baby brother, or a dog
He said yesterday he was going to start calling Chris "Dr Bolts" because he's kind of a doctor and he invents things.
He's really into helping, doesn't want anyone to help him, wants to carry his own weight.
He still spontaneously breaks out into dance if a good song comes on..@ home, in the grocery store, in restaurants, he'll jump out of his seat and groove until the song is over, this used to look like interpretive dance, now he's got some moves, and we have to discourage him from laying on the floor to do a break dance backspin..
He still says "hello" to animals, bees, birds..and sometimes trees and flowers.
He still finger paints with toothpaste on the bathroom counter,
He asked me today how they do surgery.. (what!?)
So it told him, and he said "yikes"
He asked Chris why he eats the same stuff everyday, and Chris told him "because that's just my diet," and Ode said "Well in hope i never have to go on a diet because i like to eat different stuff all the time, and sometimes, things are just tasting gross, and it don't want to have to eat them"
Why do people die, why don't u remember being born, why does the moon follow us everywhere, why can't worms swim, why is the rooster so noisy and the hens are not, what's in the middle of the earth, how many miles to Asia, and on and on
We can barely keep up with the million miles his brain is going most days
He looks like a young man more than a toddler these days
Doesn't really fit in the bike trailer anymore
I can no longer lift him, unless he's standing on a bench or something, and even then, his feet dangle down below my knees
Ahhh time is running away with us..
