January Big wind, no power

 We have the brunt of a lot of windstorms living on the valley Ridge like we do. This was the first one where I was actually afraid.
The wind started howling in the very wee hours,
Then the power went out
Everything was black
And all you could hear was howling wind and big trees uttering deep cracking and popping noises, then earth quaking thumps.
We suffered no damage to our property, but a couple neighbors took Cedars through their roofs..
One neighborhood over, people were on facebook, saying they took a cedar through their house and were hiding in the basement, wires dangling about.. super scary
This was the first power outage where we had to fire up the generator, to keep the sump pumps under the house going, & the fridge.
