Went for a walk in the woods
We planned to take a quick walk through the trees..when we got back to the car, two and a half hours had gone by..

The interpretive center was beautiful
Looking for the hobbit houses..ranger said they were a myth

The forest was silent at first, then after a while we heard ravens

We never found the hobbit houses..but the trip was well worth it. Had a picnic on the tailgate of the Volvo at the end.. It was really windy near the end..but no rain yet.
That might after we got home..the most amazing thunder and lightning show I've ever seen here in the PNW.
The sky was ablaze!! & thunder that cracked and rolled and boomed..
Later the news said there was over 1200 lightning strikes in 2hr period..
Amazing..
