Some of my earliest memories of my brother
Teaching him to say "duck" hours and hours (or what seemed like hours) and when he finally said it, i remember being SO EXCITED! we ran with him over to my parents and said look look! he can say duck! and he proudly said duck! Ohh you've never seen nor heard of a prouder big sister!! I was beaming with Joy.
My parents paying my brother to lay out in the sun so he would get some color.
My brother eating the nickel i gave him to buy a gumball, my gosh i was terrified, i thought i had killed him for sure. I ran, almost dragging him to my mom! We have to GO TO THE HOSPITAL! Jason ATE his gumball money!
My brother seeing a gnome in the woods, and running at full tilt through the woods in his lucky blue polyester sweatsuit, only to cross paths w a skunk
My brother refusing to give up the lucky blue polyester sweatsuit, because it matched his best friends.. despite its appaling aroma! now he was a very sweet kid, rarely pitched a fit about ANYTHING.. but when mom tried to pitch the sweatsuit, well he drew the line. He finally gave it up later, very grudgingly.
My brother working all summer, mowing lawns, lawns and lawns to buy his very own aluminum boat and motor. (i think he was 12?) I was really impressed at his work ethic and doggedness with which he approached his goal. I bragged him up to all my friends, my brother already bought his first boat! and he's only 12! never have you seen anyone do so many speed runs back and forth from the swim dock to the boat dock..they had to pry his hands off the throttle at dusk each night.
My brother apprenticing under the local gearhead guy to learn small engine repair. So he could fix lawn mowers and weedeaters instead of pushing them, much more lucrative! He bought his first pickup truck with his own money, he also work summers in college doing the small engine repair. This guy was the most driven kid I ever saw..
My brother getting a badge at boyscouts, he wouldnt take his shirt off for a long while.
My brother knows the important things in life, always has
family, friends, hardwork, love and self respect
he is a hard worker, and excellent business man, a diligent, loyal, faithful friend and family member.
My brother is one of the best people i know, and ive met a lot over the years.
He has seen a LOT of success over the years, more than most, nothing less than you would expect if you'd known him all along, He has always been an above and beyond kind of guy.
A one of a kind guy
He's never made a big deal out of any of it.
He is one of the most genuine, sincere, caring people i have ever met.
and my very favorite thing
is that despite all the years we have behind us now..
all the experience, life, and strugggles
my brother has NEVER lost his complete ZEAL for life, his sense of wonder,
he has never come to take himself too seriously.
When it snows,
I can expect a phone call or text

on his cell phone in the car on the way to work
"It's snowing!!! We have almost an INCH!!!!!!!" and i can still hear the 7 year old kid in his voice.
