hardwood floor endless saga

dear god this takes a long time

i thought we'd have the whole house painted by now!

and by we i mean Chris if Im honest

bless his soul

he sanded this b!tch down by hand

then sanded it again by hand

then stained it

2 days of giant fan in the hallway

stinky house
one round of wiping up entire floor
more fan time
boy the you tube video has some serious time lapse technology going on!

now we are faced with minimum 4 coats of low-ER VOC polyurethane at 2hrs a pop for dry time (like how i floated back to We?)

and dreading the smell

and reconsidering our approach

this is Odes room

do we want to put stuff on the floor that you have to leave the house because you cant breathe?

looking into a linsed oil and beeswax finish suggested by my cousin

sounds like it may be a better alternative

possibly more work for

im going to have to figure out how to do some stuff when i get home from work
besides unpack and babysit and primp houseplants

maybe i can start out by refinishing the mouldings??

or painting a closet?
