linen

i got these linen curtains from the good will

they were spendy by goodwill standards

but they were brand new w tags

i stuffed my hand into the fabric.

ooohhh these are good linen

they are heavy linen, the kind that wiggles

you know how a bolt of raw silk wiggles?

linen does too, and these are nice heavy "wiggly" ones

they are a lovely celery color

i have decide this time around i am doing stuff "right"

yes i still want everything done yesterday

but i am willing to institute what little patience i have

in the interest of quality

and the right choice

over hurry and end up with some crappy product

my second ideal is budget

im not going to blow a million dollars trying to upgrade our house, and end up in debt

so i am relying on one part chance, one part eagle eye in the thrift store

10 parts Chris's rocking handyman skills and elbow grease

oh and 

craigslist materials page for mouldings, reclaimed everything we can get

and slowly but surely the jewel will emerge from the cloud of dust

right? right
