THIS guy.. scares me sometimes
Ode and I have some wild conversations in the morning, when his brain is ablaze with a full nights sleep behind it, fully recharged and new..and exceptionally lucid and rational for a three year old.
My brain on the other hand, is slightly foggy, unguarded, and possibly still snoring lightly in the background.
My morning routine, consists of going to the bathroom, getting dressed, finding all my crap (keys, sunglasses wallet and keypass, and putting them in my purse)
putting on my shoes
grabbing my coffee
kissing Ode goodbye and wishing him a happy day
then im off to work
on my way to work i have time to review our talks in detail
Im afraid I usually come up short in the answers department for him
I wonder if he thinks i am kind of slow
morning is not my best most alert time of day - so dont jusdge me too harshly
on all legs of this routine i am shadowed by Ode ablaze! following me about, sharp on my heels, a million questions he has come up with (during the night?)

"Mama, you got me new shoes?"
"yes ode"
"Where are they"
"They are coming in the mail"
"Oh! we better go check the mail"
"no they're not here yet"
"Oh, why?"
"I dont know.. it just takes a while"
"oh why? the mailman is slow?"
"no its not really the mailman its UPS"
"Oh .. a PS is SLOW?"
"not really .. i just ordered them yesterday, so it will just take a while"
"but why?"
"i dont know"

"Mama what you doing?"
"getting dressed"
"Oh, you get dressed and go to work?"
"yeah"
"why?"
"cuz i have to"
"oh, why you have to go to work all the time?"
"cuz thats the way the world is set up"
"what you mean"
"uhhh.. i have to go to work, to make money, to pay for our house"
"oh.. cuz you dont have any money?"
"well uhh.. i have some, but i need more, to pay for the house"
"oh you not want to go to work?"
"not right at this moment, but i'll get over it"
" i have two doyars in my wallet"
"thats cool"
"you want my two doyars?"
"no honey, thats really sweet of you, but i still have to go to work"
"oh thats no good"
"its fine honey, I just need to wake up"
"oh, you are sleeping? BUT your eyes are open and its daytime"
"uhhh yeah, you're right"

"looking for my phone"
"oh, you cant find it?"
"no"
"i have a phone"
"thanks honey but i need my phone"
"oh you always lose it?"
"yes i do"
"why?"
"im not sure why"
