what if
i have wrinkles, and gray hair and am STILL beautiful
what if
i was overweight and still a valued member of society, work, etc etc...anything i choose,
smart, healthy, funny, rich(not $) and just as good as everyone else
no matter how much people may discuss the weight i've put on - what if im still SOO lovely anyways?
what if
i stopped worrying (not caring, but worrying) about my kids, and the world didn't fall to pieces
what if
i didnt catch them everytime they fall.. and not only were they ok, but they were stronger
what if
i swore to only speak of /listen to ideas for the next week, no talk of people, gossip, judgement, nothing but ideas
what if
my house was a mess and i am still a good person
what if
i danced in public just like i do at home in the kitchen when its just me and Ode.. and they recruited me for 'so you think you can dance?'
what if
no one wanted to buy my art, or liked even, and i still felt dazzled by it, overjoyed making it, and in love with the world
what if
i didnt have the answer, but am still SHARP
or i dont have most of the answers, in fact i have less answers than i had 10 years ago, i am in a state of answer depletion! but i am still SMART
what if
i told you that i finally bought that house, and realize, it's not really mine.. STILL and i am NOT more secure
what if
my security lies in between my ears and its just that simple
what if
i get alzheimers and forget my entire life, and all the thinking i did between birth and forgetting - is it wasted?
what if
i stopped being afraid in the car, and i was at less risk of being hit? (i suspect this is true)
what if
i stopped being afraid of dying/obliteration would my mind become quiet enough that i could hear the sunrise sing?
what if
buying stuff accomplishes nothing, no matter how cool the stuff is
what if
i took all the money i buy stuff with and only saved it, or only gave it away
what if
i am enough
just as i stand here today, i am enough
what if
this is our one shot
what if
i stopped doing anything for a WEEK and realized, the world doesnt END without my frantic antics
what if
I learned its okay to take deep breaths, smell the rain, and listen to the wind and have no deep thoughts at all, or even shallow ones
and found i could smile more, or laughed easier
what if
THIS is heaven? or THIS is hell, and its up to you which one...
what if
i love you, let me help, i understand.. or silence
were the only words in our language
