Road trip

I've heard of this lake near Mt Rainier on INSTGRM from a couple cousins who've been, and it looked lovely, so we went to check it out
We've been out to Carbon River lots of times, but never driven beyond it. It was worth it! Beautiful scenery, and we didn't leave home until well after 2pm

The colors in the lake were amazing..no filter on the photos, but they still aren't as vivid as in person

The trail

The only downside of the walk was that Ode got stung 3 times by yellow jackets. He yelled OW! and we checked it out..didn't look too bad, then a few feet further, OW! OW!!!!!
It keeps hurting!! When we checked again, he had not been stung once but 3 times. He was a total trooper, and luckily Chris had benadryl spray.. but sucked for him, and then he was afraid of every buzz he heard. He decided it would be good to wear a long sleeve shirt next time. Poor guy
