stocking

this year we did stockings
no presents
well for the grown up kids anyways
i thought this would be the most unpopular decision ever
but it went really well
there were still presents under the tree for the little kids
my intent was to take the stress out of christmas for the "just starting out" kids
i remember being just starting out and all the things that go along with that
and how stressful christmas was
and i didnt want that to happen for them
so
stockings it was!

everybody could bring something for others
it just had to fit in a stocking
it could be as little as a dollar
or homemade cookies
or a jokie thing
whatever you could do

it was wonderful
and it was MUCH less wrapping
i made the stockings in fairly short time
from fabric i thrifted, washed, ironed and sewed
and upholstery bits (stars)
and they turned out pretty cute
