The dryer died

A very loud and shrieking death.
Chris took the whole thing apart- swearing MAY have happened at this time.
It needed 2- 80$ parts.
AND the motor seized..
which doesn't bode well for our future together..the dryer and us, with our fifty million loads of laundry.

So we temporarily reinstated the clothesline out back,
And it''s summer,
so stuff dries quick out there on the line.. and smells heavenly!!!

It''s like the old dude just said, I can go NO FURTHER!  and died, mid-cycle.
It's 20+ years old, and has served us well. And been repaired already twice, which bought us about 6 months a piece..
So
We bought a new-ISH immaculate, & running dryer, off Craigslist for 65$ instead.
